Dale's Seafood in Tabor City is a seafood establishment worth the drive. The place has a rustic industrial dining hall ambiance and a homey atmosphere that screams eastern North Carolina at its finest. The interior design is simple yet clean, with a large dining room and a smaller one for small groups. Prices are reasonable, and portions are huge. The menu features fresh seafood and steaks, and the salad bar is full of good eats. Special dishes include broiled scallop dinner, fried clams, chicken tenders, deluxe shrimp and scallop plate, stuffed flounder, and catfish. They also have daily home cooked specials. The parking lot is large and has plenty of space. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has one level. Dale's Seafood is a great place to stop by for a down-home seafood & steak experience.

I got two ground beef (hard shell) with rice and beans. He got two ground beef and one chicken. He said the chicken was the winner. I don't care what you say, my tacos were outstanding. "I don't write reviews often, but when I do....It's because the place deserves it. La Promesa is an authentic hole in the wall. Although the seating is a bit cramped, the service is excellent, and the food is as good as you'll find. I worked in San Salvador as a consultant and the pupusas (cheese and mixed) here are absolutely incredible. Horchata was great too. If you've never tried hand-formed, cheese filled, skillet-fried masa, you don't know what you're missing. Seriously, try the pupusas! -Jeff G.
