"If you are traveling on 905 between Conway/Myrtle Beach and Hwy 22 you MUST stop at Papa's Grill and get a classic, home cooked meal. I stop in this diner every weekend on my way to my 2nd job. I have had the bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich, cheeseburger & FF, and today a grilled chicken salad. As you can see from my picture of Salad the chicken is actually grilled. It was delicious! The burgers are hand patted and just like you want a diner burger to taste. I have not had a bad meal here.....ever. This place is run by a great group of super friendly ladies who can get down in the kitchen! And as an added bonus they have perfect sweet tea so I give it 5 stars!" -comment from Heather T.

"I don't write reviews often, but when I do....It's because the place deserves it. La Promesa is an authentic hole in the wall. Although the seating is a bit cramped, the service is excellent, and the food is as good as you'll find. I worked in San Salvador as a consultant and the pupusas (cheese and mixed) here are absolutely incredible. Horchata was great too. If you've never tried hand-formed, cheese filled, skillet-fried masa, you don't know what you're missing. Seriously, try the pupusas! -Jeff G.
